A PAIR OF 30-BORE FLINTLOCK SAW-HANDLED DUELLING-PISTOLS SIGNED TURNER, registration marks DU1049,
for the Dublin region and almost certainly by Turner of Dublin circa 1815, with twist iron round 10in. barrels, carved sunken sighting ribs to the tops of both barrels marked with the registration number, dove-tailed blade fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights, twin platinum lines and oval escutcheons at the breech, platinum touch-holes, border and trophy engraved flat locks signed 'TURNER', pointed tails, rainproof pans, roller frizzens, Manton style hammers, walnut saw-handled half-stocks with chequered grips, flared pommels inlet with engraved heel-plates, white metal oval barrel key escutcheons, further white metal oval escutcheons to the side-cheeks, spurred trigger-guard bows, plain triggers and provision for under-barrel ramrods (missing)
